Finite Help Sessions are held in Swain East 340
For students taking J113, M119, V119, M120, M211, S211, M212, S212, starting Monday of the second week of classes and ending Thursday of the last week of classes, designated Math departmental CALCULUS help sessions are held in Swain East, room 340.
Help sessions will not be held during Final Exam weeks, Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break, and Spring Break, as well as on Labor day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The Help Sessions are on a walk-in basis: no appointment is necessary. You do not have to be there promptly at the start or attend for the entire two hours; you may attend for any portion of the two hour session that you like. Please be sure to sign on the iPad and include your course number.
During the Help Sessions the tutors will strive to guide you to the answers to your questions rather than solve the problems for you. Please be prepared with specific math problems to discuss and solve.
At each Help Session there are typically about 10-20 students. If possible, please work in small groups of 2-4 students, trying to solve the problems before asking a tutor for assistance. Bring a few classmates with you or make friends at the Help Sessions!
Students taking any math course up to and including M212 may visit the Academic Support Centers, located in Briscoe, Teter, and Forest dormitories.
