The B.S. degree in Mathematics gives you an extensive background in mathematics. There are two tracks to our B.S. degree. Our academic advisors and faculty can provide advice to you about the different tracks and about combining Math with another major or degree on campus.
Program I focuses on mathematical theory. You gain the training you'll need if you plan to pursue graduate work in mathematics. You'll also gain access to many career pathways right out of college.
Program II focuses on mathematical applications. This track prepares you to work in related areas such as astronomy, biology, chemistry, cognitive science, computer science, economics, geology, or physics. The focus in this program is on mathematical applications.
