Joel Lash, who is the Engineering Sciences Director at Sandia National Labs, and a proponent of our math department, is coming to visit on us (and officials at IU) next Thursday, Feb. 22. He kindly agreed to give a Career talk on jobs at national labs at 2:30-3:30 in RH104.
Joel is responsible for a significant portion of high-level recruiting at Sandia, and knows a lot about industry recruiting in general. This could be a very good networking opportunity for those of you interested in industry, and national labs in particular. We encourage you to come to the talk. If you can’t make it, but would like to meet Joel, he will be sticking around for Tea afterwards. (ChrisC invited him to the DLS talk after as well, but Joel needs to leave before then.)
