Assistant or Associate Professor position

The Department of Mathematics seeks applications for a tenured or tenure-track position with appointment beginning in Fall 2018. Outstanding candidates with a PhD in any area of pure and applied mathematics are encouraged to apply; the minimum qualification is a PhD in mathematics or a closely related field. Exceptional candidates will also be considered for the Charlotte Ann Griffin Professorship, an endowed professorship among the most prestigious appointments at Indiana University. The department maintains strong research groups in most principal fields of mathematics. At this time, we are especially interested in hiring in probability and in analysis and in fostering inclusive excellence. Enhancing diversity within our faculty and students is an important aspect of department and college strategic planning. The base teaching load for research-active faculty is three courses per year.
