The award is presented annually by the Center of Excellence for Women & Technology. The citation, in part, reads "...a top role model for exemplary and high-impact mentoring" and praises her encouragement of others, willingness to go above and beyond, and advocacy. Dr. Delaney conducts research in algebraic and computational aspects of quantum field theories. In summer 2020 she mentored summer undergraduate research students in a project on Quantum link invariants and the classification of modular tensor categories. Dr. Delaney's research is also supported by a prestigious NSF postdoctoral fellowship.
