Academic Year Undergraduate Internships (UGI/UGG)—Grading and assisting with teaching
Each year the Math department hires a significant number of math majors as assistants and graders for certain freshman-level courses. If you're qualified, it's hard to find a better part time job!
Our department hosts a summer program in which advanced undergraduates from around the country come to Bloomington for an intense eight-week session of guided individual research projects, augmented by other group activities. IU students are eligible for this program. See the REU website for more information. Applications are due in late February.
