Ancient solutions to geometric flows are special solutions that appear as singularity models. We will talk about ancient solutions in various geometric flows, mostly focusing on the mean curvature flow. We will discuss classification results of ancient solutions to the mean curvature flow under certain conditions. This is a joint work with Angenent and Daskalopoulos.
